Joy Holbrook is an intuitive market researcher in DC who has captured the attention of the account's CEO and is about to get a sweet promotion, just in time for the holidays. She receives an urgent phone call from home and she rushes back to Crystal Falls, NC to help her Aunt recover from surgery and is reunited with her former crush, Ben. Dave is really confused and his relationships with his wife, friends, and his own humanity seem to be devolving and increasingly distracting anomalies begin to take over his reality. But his issues may not be as internal as they seem. With her son being held captive by a criminal gang, police-officer Amanda Doyle, together with her ex-husband and three unlikely allies, takes part in a desperate plot to hold a wealthy banker and his family to ransom. In addition to this, his not-so-successful career gets affected badly when an online critic, with whose opinion he had once disagreed, gets him framed for making a snuff film. When he's not provided justice, he gets shattered from within and proclaims openly to sacrifice his speech unless he gets justice. But in the age of digital media, isn't he just another guy who wants his work to be seen and appreciated? His battle intensifies when time passes by and lack of justice makes him brutal and extremely angry.
